A pilates and yoga workout is not for wimps! Some people think these practices are not a real workout. Give it a try and you will know better after the first class! You will be amazed at just how quickly your body will change as you build muscle. 

Pilates and yoga are a body, spirit and mind workout. Maybe that is what scares some people away. The music is soothing and there may be a time set aside for a little meditation. The actual work involves holding positions for a certain period of time. These positions are usually not something the average person is used to doing and they can be extremely challenging. That is how you build muscle quickly. Because you are using muscles that probably haven't been used for some time!

Most gyms will provide a mat and blocks for use during the workout. I like to use my own mat. I have found the blocks to be helpful when learning new moves. Sometime the flexibility needed to make the position is not there right off the bat. Pilates and yoga are worth a second glance if you want to build muscle!
